Fibromyalgia bullet (1)  GOOD TO KNOW

Common questions

How is success measured in the fibromyalgia program?

We track your progress using the Fibromyalgia Impact Questionnaire (FIQR), a validated tool used internationally to measure the impact of fibromyalgia, alongside functional measures such as your walking tolerance and ability to manage everyday activities, established at your Initial Assessment.

Can I participate virtually?

Yes, sessions are available in person or via telehealth, whichever suits you best.

Can I put the program on hold if necessary?

If you're going to be away for 7 days or more and can provide reasonable notice, we can accommodate your request to pause the program. We'll handle other extenuating circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

What if the program isn't suitable for me?

Your Accredited Exercise Physiologist will monitor your progress throughout and adjust your plan where needed. If the program isn't the right fit, we'll discuss alternative options with you, and your treating doctor or specialist if relevant.

Do I need to pay upfront for the 6-week program?

Yes. Paying upfront supports consistency across the six weeks, giving your care team the opportunity to build on each session and track your progress over time.

Can I use a care plan for this program?

Your GP determines your eligibility for a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP). If eligible, ask your GP to refer you for Exercise Physiology sessions. Eligible patients can access up to 5 allied health sessions under Medicare per calendar year, shared across all allied health services used.
