What you need to consider if you're planning to start a family and have an autoimmune rheumatic disease?

Many patients with rheumatic diseases are diagnosed during childbearing years, and it’s well known that women with existing auto-immune and rheumatic conditions can face unique challenges during pregnancy. Additionally, some of the medications traditionally used to treat rheumatic disease are not advised during pregnancy.

During our live online event Rheumatologist Dr Shikta Dey will aim to cover:

  • Do I need to tell my Rheumatologist that I’d like to start a family, and if so, when?
  • Does having a rheumatic disease impact fertility?
  • What are the effects of pregnancy on rheumatic disease? And how will my condition impact the pregnancy?
  • Managing Rheumatic Medications Before, During and After Pregnancy

Attend our live and free virtual event on 8pm Wednesday 7th June.

Like all of our live events, we will welcome questions and discussion so we can all hear and learn from each other.
